The Challenge
Building a social platform that cuts through the noise. Users wanted meaningful connections without the distraction of images, ads, and algorithmic manipulation. The challenge was creating an engaging experience with text-only content while maintaining performance across iOS, Android, macOS, and visionOS.
Our Solution
We designed TXT.ME around a strict minimalist philosophy — monochrome black & white, text-only, zero distractions. The app enforces a 500-character limit per post to keep content focused. We built an interest-based discovery engine so users find creators aligned with their topics, not algorithms. Weeklies — ephemeral private messages that auto-delete after 7 days — encourage authentic conversation. The result is a social network that ships across four Apple platforms and Android from a single codebase.
