The Challenge

iPhone users constantly run out of storage due to duplicate photos, large videos, and forgotten screenshots. Existing cleanup tools were either too aggressive (deleting files without preview) or too slow to scan large photo libraries. We needed a fast, safe, and intuitive storage management tool.

Our Solution

We built Phone Cleaner around a simple principle: show the problem, let the user decide. The app scans photo libraries using perceptual hashing to find duplicates that look identical to the human eye, flags blurry shots and partial screenshots, and surfaces forgotten large files eating up storage. Every item gets a preview before deletion — nothing is removed without explicit consent. Video and photo compression offers lossless and lossy options so users can reclaim space without sacrificing quality. All processing happens entirely on-device for complete privacy.
